Abstract

The article discusses the criticism on the enforcement practice towards women drug offenders in Canada. Critics claimed that women drug offenders have experienced inequalities of judgment. The use of social context does not contribute to transformative change, however, it confirms the degraded position of women of color and the unreasonable imposition of punishment. The impact of racial discrimination on black women drug offenders is also discussed.
