Abstract
The SVL fluorescence spectra from the 1B 2 state of CS 2 cooled in a supersonic free jet were observed. The transitions to the highly excited vibrational levels in the ground state were detected. The nature of the emitting states is discussed in terms of the strong coupling with low-lying triplet state(s).
