Abstract

Abstract. In the last few years ,the demand for electricity energy has daily been rising while current-transfer lines and increased energy-production capacity do not meet this growing demand due to environmental and system-based limitations .Regarding these limitations ,FACT devices play an important role in power-system performance .SVC can be named from this family , power-system controlling devices , being used to reduce loss ,voltage static stability , management of current transmission congestion ,and etc. One of drawbacks for these devices is determining appropriate location of such equipment .This is mainly because if it is not well done ,the results would be reverse .In this study, we determine the suitable location for SVC by the help of fuzzy estimator in order to increase voltage static stability in buses .The recommended method was tested by MATLAB software and matpower4 software on IEEE 30 and 57 and acceptable results would have been obtained .Continuous Power Flow was used to study the voltage static stability using Newton-Raphson method .
