Abstract

The main objective of this paper is to analyze how they are being constructed the experiences of participation in the establishment of rural development projects that advocate sustainable agriculture. At first we point out the motivations that have led rural development projects in the footwear to incorporate more and more perceptions of social and environmental risks, scoring has been interpreted as the sustainability of the relationship between man and environment. Later, in a second moment, we see the difficulties and limitations of the institutions that promote sustainable rural development projects, analyzing the possible changes. In the last section, we highlight the concepts of sustainability to evaluate the importance and role of extension in the legitimation of the issue, pointing out the conflicts in the constitution of rural development models. With these theoretical and methodological tools, we sought to draw a profile of participatory approaches that are proposed, high lighting their methods of construction of social reality.
