Abstract

The concepts of "urban mobility" and "sustainable urban mobility plan" are defined. Indicators of sustainable transport planning problems in various categories (trip activity, air pollution emissions, noise pollution, transport risk, economic productivity, general accessibility, land use impact, equity capital, transport policy) are also given, possible sub-categories are proposed and the evaluation of indicators according to the principle: A = suggested for use in almost all situations; B = proposed for use if appropriate/possible; C = proposed for use when appropriate to address specific community needs. A number of factors that should be paid attention to in the process of creating a sustainable urban mobility plan are described. It also describes the main stages of creating a plan and the features that should be considered during the planning process in order to successfully implement sharing systems in a mobility strategy.
