Summary The Galapagos Islands (Ecuador) are a living laboratory and a sensitive area where, among other activities, tourism is performed. The unique flora, fauna, and landscapes motivate thousands of people to visit the islands every year, generating economic benefits and various considerations regarding environmental issues.
