Abstract

A proclaimed environmentally progressive outdoor apparel company, Patagonia recognizes that everything they make pollutes. Having endeavored to control their direct effects on the environment through production. Patagonia realizes that their approach to reducing environmental harm must be eclectic. Their external environmental policy holds fast: one percent of their sales are pledge to protection and restoration of the natural environment. Their tithing program increases with additional profits. Internally, however, ongoing environmental assesments have revealed that all areas are in need of improvement. With this foundation, this environmentally conscious company continues to work meet the challenge of operating of a sustainable business.
