Abstract

Sussman and Zahler have delivered a damaging blow to the use of catastrophe theory in the behavioral sciences. this article points out that most of the behavioral scientist's tools, such as regression analysis, are subject to the same criticisms, and to reject them is in effect to throw the baby out with the bath water.
