Abstract
Although prepared in its original Spanish‐language version primarily as a natural resources training aid for Latin America and available since mid‐1970 in the English language, this publication has not received the wider attention it deserves. The Case book is a compendium based on the 6 years of experience of a team of specialists in the Organization of American States (OAS) engaged in the design and execution of development‐oriented surveys of natural re sources. Unquestionably, the Case book has wide applicability through out the developing world, as well as in the developed countries, among those concerned with project design for integrated natural resources surveys and development.
