Abstract

As is known, traditional cryptography techniques including the symmetric and the asymmetric methods always need high computation. The visual cryptography (VC) provides a light-weight alternative for securing the secret image referring to the characteristics of the human vision. In particular, the whole process of encryption as well as decryption for the visual cryptography meets a fast dealing course. As to its security concerns, it can guarantee that no one can have access to any clues of the secret image unless a pre-defined number of shadows is collected. In this article, we are going to introduce novel VC techniques, which flexibly provide the progressive version and scalable mechanism for sharing secret image securely.
