Survey on Quality of Service Provision in Data Networks and Telecommunications (Studia o Prevadzani Kvality Sluzieb v Pocitacovych Telekomunikacnych Sietach)

Abstract

This paper presents the literature survey, theoretical background on quality of service (QoS) including the QoS framework, common definition, parameters, management, and maintenance. It further describes the issues related to the multimedia communications technologies, protocols, Object Oriented paradigm and distributed systems. This paper further discusses QoS provision via Trading Agent. This work demonstrates that all the components of distributed MM system should be involved in the QoS management process. The client’s requirements related to QoS must be adapted to various constraints supported by the distributed MM system components: client machines, server machines and transport system.
