Abstract

This study aimed at establishing if Home Economics Curriculum content provides knowledge, skillsand attitudes needed in food and nutrition, Home Management and consumerism, clothing andtextiles by individuals and household members for sustainability in post Covid-19 era. Threeresearch questions guided the study, a survey research design was employed, population for thestudy comprised all Home Economics lecturers in Tertiary Institutions in Delta State, A purposivesampling techniques was used to select 31 lecturers with M.Ed and Ph.D for the study. Aquestionnaire was used for data collection and data collected was analysed using mean statistics.Result obtained revealed that Home Economics Curriculum contents can provide knowledge, skillsand attitudes required for individual and household members sustainability in post Covid-19 era,(grand mean =3.1). Based on this result, it was recommended that Federal Ministry of Educationshould make Home Economics a compulsory subject of study in primary and post primary levels ofEducation.
