survey plotted locations using averages of multiple readings taken from a Magellan NAV 5000 D Global Positioning System receiver and a selfaveraging function of a Garmin GPS III Global Positioning System receiver. The receivers were programmed on the Helmert 1906 map projection. Table I and Map fig. 1 indicate stops on or immediately associated with the Via Hadriana or nearby secondary routes found during all three survey seasons.2
