Abstract

The variation of parameter A in the power-law conductivity dependence on the frequency,σ′(ω) = Aω s, for chalcogenide glasses (Ag2S)x(GeS2)1-x, where 0<x<0.5, has been determined experimentally. It is found that the exponent s is temperature and frequency dependent. Probable mechanisms of charge transport responsible for the experimentally observed temperature dependent conductivity via the temperature dependent parameter A are described and analyzed.
