Abstract

Objective To assess the health-related quality of life (HRQOL) of chronic heart failure (CHF) used Chinese version of Minnesota Living with Heart Failure Questionnaire (MLHFQ).Methods A cross-section survey was conducted of 134 participants diagnosised definitely with CHF (NYHA=Ⅲ~Ⅳ) in three hospitals in Beijing of China from Mar.2004 to Apr.2006.It was performed by using the MLHFQ and the background questionnaire on the basis of obtaining patients Informed Consent Form.Results The total score of MLHFQ was (45.81±18.49),and the score of physical dimensions,emotional dimensions of the MLHFQ were (34.96±20.88) and (56.12±25.89) respectively.Male was lower score in MLHFQ than female.The NYHA classification of Ⅲ and Ⅳ were remarkably lower score in MLHFQ than classification Ⅱ.Conclusions The CHF patient's HRQOL was on the low side,especially in the physical dimensions.Inpatients with different demographic data,background and clinic index had different HRQOL.
