Abstract
In this paper the connotation of smart grid is expounded, the present research status of smart grid at home and abroad are summarized, their differences from the traditional power grid were described, , and the key technologies and capabilities of smart grid were expatiated on. Finally, the opportunities and challenges that our country is facing in the development of smart grid were elucidated.
