Abstract

Objective To explore the incidence of depression in Parkinson' s disease and the effects of psychological nursing intervention. Methods Hamilton depression rating scale was used to investigate 46 cases with Parkinson' s disease in the study groups and 45 healthy old peoples in the control group. The study group performed psychological nursing intervention and repeated collecting data by using Hamilton depression rating scale after 6 weeks intervention. Results The incidence of depression in Parkinson' s disease was 41%. HAMD score in the patients group was significant higher than in the control group. In addition, in the patients group HAMD score significantly decreased after the intervention. Parkinson' s disease patients with depression and psychological nursing intervention HAMD score display statistically significant (P<0.05 or P<0.01).Conclusions The incidence of depression in patients with Parkinson's disease is high. Psychological nursing intervention can effectively improve the patient's symptoms of depression and promote the rehabilitation of patients.
