Abstract

Objective To study breasffeeding knowledge among pregnant women in the third trimester, and to provide scientific evidence for health education. Methods A questionnaire were administered to 102 pregnant women in the third trimester. Results The pregnant women in the third trimester had poor breasffeeding knowledge, the average scores were (64.26±16.91 ), and the average scores was positively related to the women' education background. The higher requirements for the knowledge included breesffeeding position and time, prevention and treatment of promoting the secretion and breasffeeding problems. Conclusions Health care providers should provide the breasffeeding knowledge by various ways for the pregnant women to improve the breasffeeding rate.
