Abstract
The International Academy of Astronautics and the International Astronautical Federation are co-sponsoring a one-day symposium on Recently Acquired Knowledge of the Space Environment on September 27 during the XlVth Congress of the I.A.F. in Paris (September 26-October 1, 1963). The meeting will be held with the support and cooperation of UNESCO, and the scientific cooperation of COSPAR. The speakers at the meeting will be chosen by the Organizing Committee, the Chairman of which is Professor A. Ehmert, of the Max-Planck-lnstitut fur Aeronomie, at Lindau (German Federal Republic). The review papers will be especially directed to informing those working in the applied and engineering sciences of the present knowledge in the field of space physics.
