Abstract

Surgical calculators can be used to stratify patients at higher risk for postoperative complications. Patients with peripheral arterial disease that undergo major lower extremity amputation (LEA) are higher risk patients because of their medical comorbidities. The objective of this study was to compare various surgical risk calculators to assess 30-day mortality of patients undergoing major LEA.
