Abstract

1. 1. The removal of nevi is essential for pathologic, cosmetic and psychologic reasons. 2. 2. Since radium treatment is prolonged and may cause complications, and older methods have become antiquated, surgical excision is the method of choice. 3. 3. The use of the free, full thickness graft is preferred and the operative technique is described. 4. 4. Whenever possible, one section of skin should be used for the graft in order to avoid excessive scarring and to maintain equality of surface level and consistency of color.
