Abstract
Introduction Craniosynostosis is defined as the premature closure of a cranial suture which causes abnormal calvarial growth. Skull growth is arrested in the direction perpendicular to the fused suture and expanded at the sites of unaffected sutures, leading to characteristic calvarial deformations.
