Abstract

Although most patients with cerebral palsy whose upper limbs are affected are not candidates for reconstructive surgery, selected patients may be helped by certain procedures. Evaluations for selection of patients are considered, and surgical procedures for flexion contractures of the elbow, pronation contractures of the forearm, thumb deformities, and flexion contractures of the wrist and fingers are detailed.
