Abstract
1. 1. The anatomy and surgical approach of the tibial nerve below the popliteal fossa is discussed. 2. 2. Twelve cases, with preliminary follow-up, are reported in which neurorrhaphy of this portion of the tibial nerve had been performed. Nerve defects of as much as five inches have been repaired by the outlined procedure.
