Abstract

Published over the last five years, these select articles offer a comprehensive review of international and domestic medical records of spastic cerebral palsy children with Pes planovalgus. The progression, natural history, pathophysiological mechanisms, evaluations, treatment principles, options and outcomes are extensively discussed. It provides a new theoretical basis and practical references for treating spastic Pes planovalgus deformity. Furthermore, specific surgical options should be based on the Gross Motor Function Classification System after considering age, type and severity of children.
