Romodanov, Kyiv, Ukraine The aim of the study was to evaluate the features of clinical outcomes and treatment of intracerebral tumors of the cerebral hemispheres in elderly and senile persons.The research was done in the clinical department of Neurosurgery Institute (Kyiv. Ukraine) There were retrospectively analyzed 306 cases of intracerebral tumors of the cerebral hemispheres in elderly and senile patients (I group) and 170 cases of surgical treatment patients from 16 to 59 years old (control group). Sampling was conducted during the period 1999-2013 years. There was demonstrated that glioblastoma WHO III-IV severity is the most common in the elderly. The number of diagnosed tumors WHO II was four times less than in the control. which may be due to the presence of comorbidities and late treatment. In elderly patients after combined treatment the life expectancy was by an average of 6 - 8 months. Key words: brain tumors, senile patients, diagnostics, treatment.
