Abstract
In order to achieve the cleaner production of diosgenin and more importantly to reduce the production cost of diosgenin, the ultrasonic assisted solvent extraction technology is adopted and different types of surfactants are introduced into the study of the extraction of dioscin. Moreover, dioscin is used as the evaluation indicator to study the effects that different extraction conditions may have on extraction efficiency. It is discovered that when the volume fraction of ethanol is 30 v/v, ultrasonic frequency reaches 25.8 KHz, solid-liquid ratio (Dioscorea zingiberensis:ethanol) is 1:10, the dosage of SDS is 2 × 7.363 × 10-3mol/L and the extraction duration is 40 min; however, the extraction rate of the dioscin is the highest. This technique can greatly decrease the volume fraction of the ethanol in the extraction of dioscin, so that the production cost of diosgenin is greatly reduced. Key words: Dioscorea zingiberensis, diosgeninr, ultrosonic waves, sodium dodecyl sulfate (SDS).
