Abstract

Propagation of a surface wave in a semi-infinite magnetized dusty plasma is analyzed by taking into account the dust-charge fluctuation and assuming that the magnetic field is weak. The dispersion relation is deduced and analyzed to show the existence of a modified low frequency mode, which reduces to the result obtained earlier in the zero fluctuation limit. The two different cases of electrostatic and electromagnetic mode are discussed separately. Last, numerical estimates of the attenuation coefficient as a function of the frequency for its various range of values have been done and are displayed graphically.
