Abstract

Surface wave attenuation is one of the most important step in seismic data processing. Current methods to separate surface wave mainly focus on the difference between surface wave and reflected wave in frequency aspect. Recently sparse representation can be successfully applied to seismic data reconstruction, but the directional elements of sparse system capture high frequencies along certain directions and are not good at representing the low frequencies. To overcome this problem, we proposed a secondary separation of surface wave combining the S transform and Shearlet transform, we first separate the low-frequency by using the S transform. Than surface wave is secondary separation through Shearlet transform. Numerical results clearly demonstrate that this algorithm is robust and effective in attenuating surface wave and performs much better in preservation of the low-frequency.
