Abstract
An apparatus and technique based on maximum bubble pressure for determining fused salt surfacd- tensions are described. The method is applied to mixtures of each of the alkali chlorides with PbCl/sub 2/; it is found that the heavier alkali chlorides in mixture with PbCl/sub 2/ form complex ions, and in one case at least, that of CsPbCl/sub 3/, the complex arrangement persists in the solid.
