Abstract
Surface tension and viscosity are two main process parameters in the metallurgical industry, especially for high-temperature alloys, such as Zr–Ti–Cu which exhibits excellent characteristics of high strength and high corrosion resistance. However, the surface tension and viscosity of Zr–Ti–Cu alloys are rarely studied. In this work, the surface tension of Zr–Ti–Cu alloy was measured by the pendant drop method. The surface tension and viscosity Zr–Ti–Cu alloy were calculated by our revised modified Guggenheim model and the new CALPHAD-type equation of viscosity proposed in our previous work respectively. The surface tension and viscosity database of the Zr–Ti–Cu system were constructed.
