Abstract
We observed two surface spin-wave modes in ferromagnetic resonance in monocrystalline, epitaxial layers of manganese ferrite. The layers, <tex xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink">2-3\mu</tex> m thick, were obtained by CVD on monocrystalline MgO substrates. In MEFL, observations were performed at room temperature and a frequency of 26,6 GHz. The critical angles for which the surface modes vanish amount to 48° and 37° respectively, for line I and line II. The magnetic parameters for uniform mode are: <tex xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink">4\piM_{eff}= 280</tex> Gs, H <inf xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink">A</inf> = -290 Oe, and <tex xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink">g = 2,00</tex> .
