Abstract
AbstractA theory of surface electron states at the contact of two polar media is developed. The electron—phonon Hamiltonian for a contact of two polar layers is given. Ground state and effective mass energies are determined in a weak coupling approximation. Conditions for polaron localization in the contact region are discussed.
