Abstract

To improve electrochemical performance and structure stability, Li3PO4 surface modification and single crystallization are applied for Li1.2Mn0.54Ni0.13Co0.13O2 to improve structural stability and upgrade electrochemical performance. The electrochemical characterization indicates that single crystal cathode material with Li3PO4 surface modification has high cycle stability and superior Li+ diffusion coefficient. Li-ion conductor Li3PO4 can supply diffusion channels for Li+ migration and inhibit phase transition. Coating Li3PO4 on Li-rich cathode materials is an effective method to improve the electrochemical performance and structure stability of the materials.
