Abstract

This data set consists of ground-penetrating radar IRHs (internal reflecting horizons) which were traced over the Derwael ice rise (DIR), the Lokeryggen ice rise (LIR) and the Hammarryggen ice rise (HIR), located along the Princess Ragnhild Coast. It is associated to publication: Cavitte et al., 2022, "From ice core to ground-penetrating radar: representativeness of SMB at three ice rises along the Princess Ragnhild Coast, East Antarctica", Journal of Glaciology. Data set author: Marie Cavitte, mariecavitte@gmail.com Data set creation: 2022_04_20 The ground-penetrating radar data was collected using GSSI GPR, over several field seasons. The IRHs were traced semi-automatically by first author Marie Cavitte, using OpendTect software and its built-in picker. For each ice rise, the radar IRH information provided consists of: - x and y positions - trace number - two-way travel times - depth - surface mass balance (SMB) Further details and uncertainties can be found in the associated publication.
