Abstract
The use of surface-initiated phase separation (SIPS) for simple and cost-effective fabrication of solution-processed multilayer organic light-emitting diodes (OLEDs) is presented. In a mixture of a cross-linkable and a non-cross-linkable compounds the first one will be cross-linked surface-induced. This causes a phase-separation of the two materials. A two-layer device is generated out of a single deposition step.
