Abstract
DIBH for breast treatments allows for the reduction of irradiated heart volume, reduces tumour bed motion and increases lung sparing. Since 2007, we have treated breast patients in DIBH using Varian real time position management (RPM), which comprises a marker block with two reflective infrared markers placed on the patients’ abdomen. This is tracked during treatment to allow for reproducible breathhold.
