Abstract
Abstract An analysis of the temperature dependence of the anisotropy of surface free energy is given, from which surface entropy values can be obtained. For the two metals for which data presently exist (Cd and Zn), the anisotropy of surface entropy is greater than the anisotropy of surface enthalpy. Surface entropies of both materials are approximately 1·2 erg/cm2 deg.
