Abstract
Abstract The surface enhanced Raman scattering (SERS) study indicates that 2,2′-bipyridine (bpy) molecules adsorb to an Ag electrode surface taking a nearly planar cis conformation. The potential-dependence of the interaction between the adsorbates and the Ag electrode was elucidated from the analysis of the spectra.
