Abstract

Surface electromagnetic wave (SEW) propagation on gold and silver films was studied as well as in the infrared (10 μm, 3.39 μm, 1.15 μm) as in the visible region. Optical constants of gold and silver films were obtained from SEW propagation measurements in different wavelength ranges. Optimal conditions of SEW aperture excitation were established.
