Abstract

This paper presented surface electric field simulation of worker in live working on ±800kV UHVDC transmission line based on finite element theory. Numerical calculation method of electric field was located before simulation. A three-dimensional model of worker in live working on ±800kV transmission line was established by Solid Works. The electric field on the worker was calculated by the finite element software. The electric field and potential distributions on the worker with different distances between worker and transmission line were obtained. Simulation results showed that the magnitude of the voltage is inversely proportional to the distance and the electric field distribution is more intensive as the distance decreases.
