Abstract
Abstract Data obtained from study of the stratigraphic relations of Triassic and Liassic formations characterized by the presence of cone-in-cone structures in Lorraine, France, support the conclusion that the cone-in-cone structures are the product of mechanical processes related to differential deformation of over- and underlying more rigid layers.
