Abstract

Abstract Metamorphosed Mesozoic formations in Anatolia, Turkey, resembling those of Pennine nappes and of Alpine nappes in Graubuenden (Switzerland), occur in regions where strong horizontal pressure was exerted during folding, which was related to the distribution of rigid masses in the foreland and intermediate zones.
