Abstract

Abstract The foraminifer Schackoina, hitherto practically unknown from the upper Cretaceous of Europe, has, on careful observation, been found at almost all upper Cretaceous horizons in France, Bavaria (Germany), and Tunisia. Therefore its use as an index fossil for the uppermost Cretaceous is apparently limited.
