Abstract

Single crystal examples of the cis-tris-non-geminal glycol derivatives of cyclotriphosphazene [N3P3Cl3R3; R = O(C2H4O)3CH3 (1), R = O(C2H4O)2C4H9) (2)] having peculiar molecular structures were reported in this study. In the solid state, these molecules have been found to organize themselves with intermolecular interactions in a supramolecular manner. The X-ray crystallographic results show that both of compounds have dimers with two crystallographically distinct structures possessing different orientations of glycol moieties. LCST behaviors of compounds were also investigated in aquous solution.
