Abstract

The proposed relations describe the pressure of saturated and superheated vapor of simple and nonpolar substances. It is shown that the noncovalent, long-range, chemical bonding forces—the Mendeleev forces—make the dominant contribution to the energy of interaction of vapor particles. The binding energy is proportional to the critical temperature of the substance.
