Abstract

The electromagnetic vibration of machines is mainly generated by radial electromagnetic force acting on the stator core inner surface. The line-start permanent magnet synchronous motor (LSPMSM) has slots on both stator and rotor sides, and the variation of electromagnetic force distribution when rotor rotates is very complex. Aiming at establishing the relationship between electromagnetic force and tooth width on both stator and rotor sides, this paper induced the analytical expression of electromagnetic force distribution in LSPMSM with stator teeth pairing. The electromagnetic vibration response of the main low-order electromagnetic force is calculated by the mechanical impedance method, and the frequency of the low-order electromagnetic force which plays a major role in the electromagnetic vibration response is obtained. Finally, the above electromagnetic force is suppressed by optimizing stator teeth pairing width. The finite element method (FEM) is utilized to verify the effectiveness of the method.
