Abstract

In this paper, two different configurations of optical phase conjugator, dispersion compensating fiber and fiber Bragg grating have been investigated. These configurations are further compared with the conventional schemes. Several link configurations have been compared and investigated the potential for inter-subcarrier four wave mixing suppression by means of midway fibers plus hybrid modules. The proposed schemes show improvement in performance by suppressing the four-wave mixing (>40dBm). It strongly suppresses the four-wave mixing signal by introducing the destructive interference (due to OPC) between the first and second halves of the fiber optic link.
