Abstract
Summary Supportive ConSenT-Therapie in hospital – self-referential support for well-being in case of severe illness Chronic illness and severe illness are a turning point in men’s life. They are associated with an impairment of quality of life. These perspectives already emerge in first days of hospitalization. Therefore increasingly medical treatment is supplemented by psychosocial interventions, supporting coping with illness. As a special supportive therapeutical method, the supportive CliC-Therapie has proved successful in various deseases. It aims to extend the «compliance» of patients within the inpatient setting as well as their individual scope of manageability for a well-being despite illness. This results by reactivating individual skills und resources and acquiring willingness and confidence in such potentials, which had been impaired by illness.
