Abstract

Gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD) in children is a frequent reason for medical consultation. Itis defined as the involuntary passage of gastric contents into the esophagus, with or without regurgitation and vomiting. It can become pathological if it leads to embarrassing symptoms and complications. Often confronted with this pathology, nursery nurses sometimes find themselves at a loss when it comes to treating the symptoms of pathological GERD in a toddler, as well as in supporting the parents. In order to give them some ideas, a review of the literature on the benefits of non-medicinal strategies on regurgitation in full-term infants with pathological GERD was conducted.
